Can you be a successful accountant without becoming a CPA?
I’m a senior accounting major and I am not sure if I want to go for the masters and become a CPA. In the beginning I did but now I have two toddlers and I don’t know if I would have the time to devote it school right now. I am considering maybe starting a home-based business doing consultation or bookkeeping. I do not want to become a millionaire or anything just make a comfortable salary every month. Maybe $3000-$4000 a month. Does this sound like a good idea?
Do you have to give statements to your financial advisor?
I just decided on hiring a financial advisor, however besides getting all the information he is asking to provide salary and bank statements.
Is that normal?? Why would FA’s need these documents?? Is it a good idea??
What is the difference in getting a 2 year degree in Accounting and getting a 4 year degree in Accounting?
Because there is a 2 year Accounting degree at the local community college and then there is the same degree at the local 4 year college. Is there a difference in what you’re allowed to do? Is there a difference in salary? Thanks.

Do you get more back on your taxes if you file with a private accountant rather than H&R Block or turbo tax?
I used to file with H&R Block and I have some friends that have used turbo tax but it seems like a few co-workers who earn the same salary and not homeowners like myself seem to get more back filing with their accountant. I am not a dependant but am work my first full-time job after college and was just curious. It seems like they rush you through at H&R Block.

After I graduate here in the west coast, I might move to the east coast just because of some family issue whatever.
Anyway, is there a difference between the accounting standards here in the west and in the east?
