This is the first time I have been asked to make a balance sheet because the old bookkeeper quit. I have never done one before so I’m learning as I go.
first - Accounts Receivables are monies that have not been paid yet? (invoiced customer but they havent paid)?
second - If the company has not rcvd the money, and all that is owed shows up on the balance sheet, is there some place where it gets offset so that it is not included in income?
“Cash flow. i need it i want it. i’m talking bank role. my money, my money” that’s all i know.
I just got a job as a bookkeeper for a small company. I am going to school to get a degree in accounting, i was wondering does this count as experience for accounting. Someone told me that this bookkeeping can get me a good job after i graduate and i can make good money with it. Will this job really help me in landing good job after i get a degree? Any personal experiences?

Is there an accounting rule, definition or principal that says borrowed money cannot be treated as a profit? Please cite source. Thanks!
The important thing is a source for me to cite. It seems to make logical sense but I thought it was a basic accounting principle?!?
I think they manage money at banks or something but I’m not sure. So can someone simply explain what the job duties of an accountant are and how much do they make?
