My former paid my 2006 commissions in 2007. Is there any way to report this in 2006?

I worked as a commissioned employee (also with a salary), and left my job to work overseas near the end of 2006. Commissions were reported and taxed as income. I made several sales immediately before leaving, and the commission was paid in 2007. I want to declare non-residency in 2007, but I will receive a T4 for the 2007 tax year. Is there any way to report my 2007 income during 2006 and not run into problems when the employer files the T4 during the 2007 tax year?

Note that my former employer was none too pleased that I left, and isn’t likely to do me any bookkeeping favours.

What if I leave my high paying

If I dread going to work more than anything in my life, what should I do? I’m stuck in a rut and can’t get out because my employer pays me fairly well (12/hr) which is hard to find anywhere else. I don’t have a degree but I have a lot of retail experience, food experience, clerical experience, customer service experience, bookkeeping experience, vault experience, I was a supervisor at one point also.. I don’t know, I have a lot of different experience to land me a job but not one that will pay me as well as my current one… what should I do?

Just have a curious question, are there many accounting jobs, i know theres many jobs if you have experience but what about fresh out of university?

The reason i ask this question is some say there is some say there isnt because like 25% of university graduates are accounting majors, so its going be competitive right?

Also why are universities allowed to say the job rate for accounting is like 85% when that obviously isnt true right?

Any comments appreciated.

Has anyone ever been a Computer Room/ Bookkeeping Associate at Home Depot?

Or can anyone tell me the job requirements or what they have to do on the job? Is this job easy?

Is this a good career path?

I am going through a program for bookkeeping. my ultimate goal is to get my bachelors in accounting, but i figured this would be something to get me into the door.

I am taking these courses at a community college in florida, but i am moving to pennsylvania when i am done to continue on with school. will i be able to get a bookkeeping job with the schooling that i will have?

what can i do with an accounting certificate from a community college?

just curious what kind of job you could possibly get with an accounting certificate from a community college. its only 6 classes at a total of 18 hours. i really dont know what good a “certificate” is from a CC.

Thanks

How does one get a job in accounting?

What is an entry level position for accounting with an MBA/Accounting? I plan to take the CPA exam once I have met the requirements. I have a bachelors in business. I’ve worked in finance and investments.

About getting some working experience in the accounting or financial field?

I am going to be 33 years old soon. I am going back to college soon to get a bachelors degree in either accounting or finance.
Can I get a job in either the accounting or financial field right now to gain experience before I graduate college?
Would getting and internship help me out to gain experience in either field or I am too old to get and internship since I am getting a late start in the coporate life and in trying to find a real job?
