Is it harder to get into a public accounting with CPA examination than without the CPA exam?
I hear that if u pass the cpa exam , the public accounting firm will expect u know more since they need to pay u more. Thus, it’s harder to get in than if u didn’t pass the exam. They require less if u don’t pass the cpa exam and it’s easiler to get it. I also want to know what are some successful factor for an interview?
How difficult is it to pass the CPA exam without having majored in accounting?
I have a BS in Business Administration plus plan to take over 24 extra hours (junior college classes) in accounting. Ideally, I could study on my own from there to pass the CPA exam. Is this possible/realistic?
Is a major in Economics with an OPTION in Accounting & Computer Information systems marketable?
I hear a lot about computer software grads and engineering grads getting really good jobs, but can an OPTION in CIS get me a information systems job? I like the idea of an IT Auditor(blend of accounting and CIS). The option in CIS is 24 units(like 6 classes). The option in accounting fullfils all requirements for the CPA exam.

MBA in accounting or finance for corporate treasury position?
Hi,
I graduated from college in 2006 and studied business. I’ve been an accountant for 2.5 years now, and I’ve had an increasing interest in moving into a treasury-related position in a corporation. I’ve started a part-time MBA at nights, and was wondering if anyone out there with treasury experience would recommend concentrating in accounting and passing the CPA exam, or just concentrating in finance to achieve my goal. Would one really be any better over the other?
Thanks so much!
